Improperly Configured PHP Session Directory

(2391 views. Last Updated: 2007-08-17 9:58 AM)

If when using FORMfields, you receive the error:
Warning: session_start(): open(/tmp\sess_74c79f9cb2c0e8ada216cc44698209c6, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in D:\Webs\www\FORMfields\src\fields\ImageVerificationField.php on line 52
then this is most likely the result of an improper session configuration in your php.ini file. If you don't have access to your PHP configuration (php.ini) you should contact your hosting company and ask them to properly configure the session details and provide a link to the page that isn't working. If you do have access to your php.ini file, you should ensure that all the settings in the session area are correct. Furthermore, some Windows configurations of PHP have session.save_path="/tmp", which is invalid for Windows and should really be something like "c:\temp".
