Database Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax

(2281 views. Last Updated: 2007-08-10 3:51 PM)

When creating a form you may encounter an error like, "You have an error in your SQL syntax ..." This is probably because you have entered one or more field names comprised of completely digits. For example, you cannot use "1", "2", "434", etc... You can however use a field name that starts with a digit and contains at least 1 letter. For example: "field1", "field2", "4field", etc.. Of course, you can always use field names like "one", "two", "three", etc...

We understand that FORMgen should not allow such invalid entries and will enhance it in the future.
