1. An advertiser clicks on the Media Kit links to submit an ad. After submitting an ad, a charge is added to their billing section.
2. After the advertiser is done submitting all their ads, they are prompted to pay their bill. Ads that cost more than $0 are not shown unless they are either paid for or the administrator marks the ad as complimentary.
3. (Optional) If the pricing scheme requires administrator approval, the administrator is notified and can approve or reject the ad space.
4. The advertiser then clicks on Billing->Make a Payment and makes a payment with a credit card or PayPal account. If the payment is enough to pay for any ads and these ads have already been approved, then these ads are automatically set to run. Furthermore, a credit is entered in their billing section. In addition a transaction is added to the administrator's master billing record.
Note: The above assumes that you have correctly setup the PayPal IPN in Admin Preferences.
The easiest way to understand this whole process is to try it out yourself with a low amount of say $1. You may even want to try to experiment with the Complimentary feature and even try to issue a refund through PayPal. (The refund data will automatically propagate to your AdMan billing information). |
